Our classes begin today. Take your time and you will find them. See the full merit badge sechedule and location for each class at the bottom of this page.
It is going to be a busy evening!
The Mountain Dominion District meeting will be held in the Dining Hall at 7:00 this evening. You are welcome to join us to see how District business is conducted. We are a well oiled machine! If you have never been to a District meeting, this is a terrific opportunity to see how a great group of leaders plan, manage and set the direction of our District. They really are quite remarkable!
After the meeting we will have our Christmas in July celebration. If we get really inspired we may sing Christmas carols, dring egg nog, and exchange gifts. Okay, we don't have egg nog, but we will exchange gifts. Those who choose to paricipate can place a wrapped present under the tree. We will draw numbers and allow folks to choose a gift from the pile. You may "exchange" a gift one time before we move to the next participant. This is usually a lot of fun.
After we wrap up Christmas, we will enjoy a social hour. Just talking and visiting with one another. We will also feast on ice cream sundaes. We will have ice cream and a few toppings before we return to our campsites for a well deserved rest.
If you missed the International Space Station (ISS) fly over yesterday, you have another chance this morning - but you will need to get up early. At 4:23 a.m.if you look to the Northwest you will see the ISS heading East/Southeast for 6 minutes.
If you don't want to get up that early you can catch it again at 10:42 p.m. appearing 10 degrees above the western horizon traveling north/northeast for 5 minutes.
You can also see the last SUPERMOON of the year. The moon is as close to the earth as it will be until next year. Be careful at the pond. the supermoon will cause unusually high tides.
